Become an Eligible Contractor or Third-Party PV System Owner
The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) is seeking applications from solar photovoltaic (PV) contractors and third-party PV system owners interested in participating in the Residential Solar Investment Program. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is intended to promote the deployment of PV in Connecticut through rebates and financing. PV systems must be located in UI or CL&P territory, may not be sized larger than 10 kWPTC and must stay in Connecticut. Additional program rules apply. Please see Section 4.1 of RFQ for Eligible Contractors and Third-Party PV System Owners for more information.
Contractors and third-party PV system owners will be approved at the sole discretion of CEFIA. All third-party PV system owners are required to use Eligible Contractors to install systems under the Residential Solar Investment Program.
Required Licenses and Training for Eligible Contractors
- A Connecticut licensed E-1 employee or subcontractor must be included on the application.
- At least one permanent employee must successfully complete and pass the NABCEP entry level PV exam.
